Experience
As a young student, mathematics was not my strength. I worked hard to earn average grades. Once I understood the basic core ideas, I was able to build upon them and master more complex concepts. I like to help students see math as a way to communicate abstract ideas. We take concepts and deconstruct them into their most basic form. I used this process to develop my skill, and now I am able to do quality cutting-edge research at a top institution. Another subject area that I work with students is in computer science. I have students visualize the system or object fully in their minds before starting to type. I call this pseudo code and my students become expert in this method. Subject areas that I tutor include math topics beginning with elementary math, continuing to algebra (through college algebra), calculus, statistics, differential equations, and more. I'm able to teach numerous IB math topics, as well. I can teach any computer based classes, from basic computer science, to operating systems, Java, and more.In my free time, I have interests in machine learning, probability, motorcycles, rowing, and hockey.
