Throughout the past decade, I've tutored children of over 11 nationalities in reading, writing, elementary and middle school math, and preparation for the SAT and TOEFL tests. I have taught students in every grade level. Along the way, I've learned how to tailor each lesson to the child's age, personality, and learning type. I enjoy working with special needs students because they have unique abilities and have challenged me in positive ways. These include those with Autism, Asperger's, ADD, ADHD, and dyslexia. I hope to continue tutoring students from various grades, backgrounds, ages, and life experiences.I have been an International Teacher and College Advisor in China and advised college students in the United States. My qualifications include sociology and psychology degrees and a TOEFL certification. The Multiple Intelligence certification I received has been a benefit to both me and my students, because I know how their own unique learning and intelligence can go towards benefiting them in tough or uninteresting subjects. Also, I've been through a renowned course for the SAT. I have observed this and the PSAT exams, so that helps in my test prep capacities.Outside of teaching, I like sports, reading, writing, organizing, playing violin, and Ultimate Frisbee.
