I earned my IB Diploma from the International Academy, and I am currently a student at Amherst College. Ever since high school, I have tutored students in a number of different subjects, including Chemistry, Math, Writing, ACT prep, Language Arts, and playing the cello. I currently am working for Reader to Reader, Inc., which is a non-profit working to improve the literacy of low-income students. I feel that I am a straightforward and patient teacher. I find that many students have trouble because their learning styles are not being recognized in the classroom, so I work to tailor each lesson in order for the student to achieve their academic goals. A good education has always been important for me, and I aim to pass my love for learning onto each student. I am available to teach a number of subjects other than those previously mentioned, including Algebra 1, Calculus 1, Geometry, Reading, Essay Editing, Phonics, Literature, College Essays, IB Biology SL, IB Chemistry SL, Public Speaking, Music, Sociology, and many others. In my free time I enjoy playing the cello and playing volleyball.
